On October 4, 2018 at 12:34am, my oldest son Noah passed away while playing a men’s recreational hockey game. On the morning of October 3, 2018, he wrote his final exam in his electrical training at BCIT. He passed and was officially an electrician. Noah was to write his Red Seal exam on the Friday of that week, but decided to take an evening off of studying and went to do what he loved, play hockey. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that when he said “I love you” as he was leaving, that it would be the last time I would hear those words.
